In Switzerland, you might have come across the term ‘Röstigraben’. It is a term used to refer to the cultural boundary that exists between the German-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. In French, it is called barrière de Rös(ch)ti. Rösti is a popular dish made of hashed potatoes that originated in Bern.
