BATA, a global footwear company had its humble beginnings in Zlin (today Czech Republic) in 1894. With a presence worldwide, they moved their headquarters to Canada in 1964. After the global economic changes that took place in the 90s, Bata moved out of Canada and since 2004, the headquarters is based out of Lausanne.
