Here’s another DIY for you to try this festive season. Our guest contributor Jeyanthi Senthilrajan, shows us how to make a lotus candle holder.
Materials needed
- Ikea candle holder
- Plastic spoons
- Hot glue gun
- Metallic spray paint
Method
Step 1: Cut the spoon on the neck to use them as petals.
Step 2: Spray the cut spoon petals with metallic spray paint on both sides and let it dry.
Step 3: Use the hot glue and paste the spoons around the candle holder to form one round of petals.
Step 4: Leave it to dry. This should take only a few minutes.
Step 5: Repeat step 3 for another round of petals placed symmetrically in between.
Once everything has dried well you are ready to place candles in them. You could try different shades of metallic spray to make it more colourful. Do try out this easy DIY decoration this Diwali!
