Here are a few phrases you can use when at the SBB counter to buy your train ticket. You can also read our practical tips on how to travel when visiting Switzerland.

Do you have a SwissPass?
No, what is that?
A SwissPass is your travel card and you can use it for other purposes as well. You get a discount if you shop at one of our affiliated companies. If you are a person who commutes all over Switzerland I recommend the GA which is the General Abo. But if you commute only in a certain region then I recommend the Monthly subscription. And then there’s the ½ fare subscription where all the prices are reduced into ½.
Ah okay, that’s interesting.
Would you like to sign up for one of these subscriptions?
Yes, I’ll go for the ½ card, please.

Un SwissPass est la carte de voyage. Si vous faites du shopping chez une de nos entreprises affiliées, vous recevrez un rabais. Si vous faites la navette dans toute la Suisse, je recommande le GA qui est un abonnement général. Mais si vous le faites dans seulement une région de la Suisse, je recommande un abonnement mensuel. Et il y a en plus l’abonnement où vous auriez tous les prix pour le tarif moitié.
